CS Industry Takeover Day 2026

Block off your calendars!! The IAB (Industry Advisory Board, that's us) is putting together the first (hopefully) annual Industry Takeover Day for October 8, 2026! It'll be a full day of IAB members taking over CS classes!

We're going to try to record the workshops and will put them up here as long as the audio is decent. If not, we'll at least put the slides up!

9:30AM - 11:30AM in Social Sciences Building Room 106

Prerequisites: a GitHub account, Python 3.10 or later, a Gemini API Key and access to AI Studio (it's free, you just need a Google account)

The State of AI Coding (And Building Something) by Kevin Lawver

12:30PM - 1:15PM in Herty Room 107

Prerequisites: Create your GitHub account before the workshop, have a computer you can install things on, and maybe sign up for OpenRouter (don't spend any money though!).

5:00PM - 6:15PM - in Social Sciences Building Room 106

An exciting Q&A with board members. Come ask about industry, education, or whatever else you're curious about!
